Biography:

Chesney Willis is a certified speech-language pathologist and lactation consultant with over fifteen years of clinical experiencing, specializing in feeding and swallowing disorders in the outpatient clinical setting. She is affiliated with the University of Missouri Health Care system, and treats infants, toddlers and young children with histories of complex feeding difficulties. Specialties include NICU graduate follow up care, breastfeeding and bottle feeding challenges for infants with special feeding needs, g-tube management and weaning, and picky/avoidant eating. In addition to the clinical setting, Chesney also completes diagnostic modified barium swallow studies and serves on the University of Missouri Children’s Aerodigestive Team.

Prior to transitioning to the outpatient clinical setting, Chesney spent the majority of her career working with complex neonates in the NICU. She hopes to function as a liaison between the families she serves and health care practitioners to provide safe, seamless, and enjoyable feeding experiences for children and their families. Chesney lives in Columbia, Missouri with her husband and two children, both of whom were born early and required additional support to thrive in their early days of life.
